auto dimming mirors

i have an 02 a4 3.0 with the auto dimming mirrors.
any one had any issues with them the interior mirror works fine but the 2 outside mirrors do not dim when the interior one does.
its the same fuse for all 3 mirrors which is still good.

any one got any ideas

in my '00 they don't all 3 dim at the same time, they dim individually... so for instance if a bright headlight shines in my driver's side mirror for a bit, it dims, but of the passanger one isn't getting the same bright light it doesn't.

However, there are times when I sit there wishing it would dim and it doesn't, lol.

The rearview rarely times, but then I have tint so it doesn't see as much shining light as the side mirrors.

the 00 must be different than my o2,mine only has one light sensor in the rear view mirror when that one dims the other 2 should as well.

^^ This is how they all work. Do the mirrors look normal, or can you see liquid inside the mirror?

the mirrors look normal no dis colour or leaking i had the mirror out yesterday and hooked it up to a 9volt batt and the glass dims as it should.

do you think this feature can be turned on\off in vagcom maybe the previous owner had it turned off?

LOL, on mine the drivers side and the rear view dim, but the passengers side doesn't....

hmmm, weird... guess I'll have to pay closer attention next time, but I could have sworn I've seen the side mirrors dim without the rear view...

my drivers size mirror leaked like a *****, almost to the point that it looks like a normal mirror with a minor discolor. Anyone have any extras laying around for the drivers mirror?
