new battery?

so i can get optima red tops (35) at my local walmart but they are like 200 bucks a battery!

or just go to crappy tire and get a good old motomaster one that fits the stock spot?

i found a guide on AW to allow the optima to fit in and be properly secure..

thoughts?

optima only if you plan on keeping the car.
I bought an optima yellow for my truck in '02, transferred it to the newer truck 2 years ago, no battery blanket/box, and it still works excellent.

The golf has a red, but it's a little lacking for the glowplug cycling in the winter, otherwise it's fine

Optima won't last any longer than a quality battery of half the cost. Useful for off road, but a waste of money in a car.

well F it LOl because i bought a red top 35 today at walmart.. 200 bucks.. meh no biggie.. has the proper reverse terminals will install it this weekend once i mod the battery holder dealy
