factory boost pressure

I tried to google this but didnt come up with much. Just wondering what the stock boost pressure is on the 2002 biturbo 2.7T? I have stage 1 unitronic and after puttin in my new egt it still does not ''pull'' like it used to it seems. Just tryin to dial in the numbers with vagcom. No boost gauge intalled.

I believe stock boost is 8-10psi you could be in limp mode if you are only boosting 5 psi

Just warmed up car fully and took er for a log and a good tear. At standstill specified boost pressure is 950.0 mbar and actual was 960.0 mbar. Not completely sure how to use the logging feature or if i did it right. Third gear pull at 6,200 rpm specified boost read 1720 mbar and actual read 1840 mbar. Did a pressure conversion to 26.68 psi from millibar if thats what mbar means? That seems retartedly high for a ko3 stage 1 with 91 octane.

That is absolute pressure. You need to subtract atmospheric pressure from that, which varies depending on where you live. Sea level is ~14.5 psi. Here in Calgary it's about 13 psi.

You're probably running 12-14 psi. A log would be great to determine if you've got any N75 or WG issues, which are usually related to over-boosting.

Thank ya. Im gonna play some more with the logging features. Also finding it hard to come up with a good graph to to display the data with excel, any suggestions?

Also where is the best spot to tie in a non digital boost gauge.thanks again.

Excel line graphs are the most common.

Tie into the 1/4" braided air hose that comes off of the FPR.
