After i changed my timing belt and stuff, my fan keeps turning on. dash temp and vag says 90 F (thermostat temp), but the fan turns on at around the same time.
so i was wondering, since i can't find it in my schematics. is the fan sensor hooked to a relay and the fan? (i.e. is the computer involved?)
i beleive i've read that the fan temp sensor is on the lower rad hose. perhaps i bent/damaged the sensor when i pushed a rag in the hose to prevent coolant from dripping out onto the floor when i had the rad off?
so if i did damage the sensor, would the fan stay on?
or am i chasing another sensor? or is the computer turning the fan on because i didn't plug something else in correctly?
my instinct is to change the fan switch since it's cheap and easy. but maybe someone experienced this before and it's something else.
