    Re: Common FSI feature?

Don't think we need 2 threads for this, we will stick with the Audi one since it is about an RS4.

      Re: Is this for real???

Reports relate (and photos) to any FSI engine, no matter Audi or VW.

My wonder is how possibly an engine could operate like that?

        Re: Is this for real???

I read of a guy Rerouting the PCV line that goes into the intake manifold to a bung he welded in his exhaust. I plan on doing this this summer; which in turn will totally eliminate this mess. Apparently the buildup of carbon on the valvestems effects the flow into the cylinder also. kinda common sense.

Either that or clean them and install water/meth.

FWIW the PCV in my TDI goes into a catchcan.

The most puzzled part of the story for me is the way owners of cars under warranty handle this situation.
Isn’t the most logical way just to dump the car to the dealer and get your money back?
What kind of mind set (attraction of some kind, or masochism) could dictate the way people battle the FSI crap?
            Any thoughts about class action?

One could thing that Audi/VW outsources not just the manufacturing, but the design as well.

            (BTW-
For these of us that would like to keep their Audis but despised the FSI engines :

            - For sell --- low mileage 2.7 BEL engine, proven gunk and carbon deposits free.
Comes with transmission - drive train, complete body assembly and the rest of the perks.
            PM me if interested)
