  • Tail light wiring

Have lost RR inner tail light. Not bulb or cluster. Checked plug going into cluster. No voltage at the car side of plug.

My question is does anyone know where the next plug is? Or the route the wiring takes to get to the control module? Also location of control module?

    Thanks
    Peter

Sounds like you might need a "Central electrics comfort system control module". That is what Audi actually calls this module. Ridunkerus, ain't it?

As long as the fuse is good for the tail light and the ground is good for this control module, I would think the module could be toast. I did encounter a problem with this module in an 07 A6 with the right rear tail light sporadically working and not working. Audi of Canada told me to piggy-back a new ground wire off of the old ground, close to the module and make a new ground location in the trunk of the vehicle. This did fix the problem.

I'm not positive where this module would be on your car, but I would assume it would be in the trunk along the sides somewhere as this module controls the electrics located in the rear of the vehicle.
