      Me too bro, me too.

I had my timing belt done and they said they need to do the waterpump aswell 1 yr ago. I said OK. 2 months ago, My car started leaking coolant.
I'd come home from work at around 6 pm I'd checked the underneath the car at 10pm or 11 and no leak spots, but in the morning i had spots of coolant on the ground. So the colder it got the more coolant it leaked. Called George and right off the bat he said it's the water pump, changed it $400 bucks and No leaky leak anymore.

Jump underneath the car and check where the leak is coming from. It's pretty easy to spot- leaking coolant leaves an orange crust wherever it's been leaking. The leaking part is obviously shrinking when it gets extremely cold, which means that it could easily be a rubber part. I would take a look at the CTS o-ring and the coolant after-run temp sensor o-ring.

ya it should be warm enough today or tomorrow ill take a good look and see, im hoping its just a peice of rubber.

after running the beast for a bit, the coolant will probably burn a bit of residue onto the car as well. when i did my TB i ended up scraping a ton of burned on coolant off of the engine and the surrounding area around the pump. that **** definitely burns on.

You edited his post because he was speaking negatively about an engine?!

If I win the lottery I'm going to buy a B5 S4 and put a smallblock ford in it, running a carb, converting it to front wheel drive, and tell EVERYONE it's a one of a kind "S4"

Edit: Better yet, I'll throw the Jetta VRT into one and make it a reliable daily

Re: Any ideas on this issue with the allroad?

So the 2.7 sucks because it has a coolant leak?

If you want a reliable car, buy a Toyota and weld the hood shut.

If you drive a VW/Audi you have no place criticizing the reliability of anything, IMO.

Mine's in the shop right now for coolant leak at the water pump / thermostat (B6). It doesn't leak much until it warms up, then it spews. Waiting on parts.......
