They look good, I guess only time will tell. As Jordan and Tyler said, it's not like BW turbos are lasting 300,000km so what is there to loose?
I may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like you

I'll be the local guinea pig. Think I'll take the plunge now that the turbo lady is singing...best thing about being single is my cat doesn't ask too many questions. Merry Christmas to me!!

I'll bet it doesn't make you dinner, though, either.

Isn't it ironic...these turbos are assembled and shipped from BC. Can't complain though, JHM was able to ship them directly from the manufacturer and avoid any duty or brokerage fees. Big thumbs up to JHM!
Stage 3 here I come....as soon as I find a place to do the pull...and get a hoist...oh, and get some tools. Lol.

If you tell me I could've gotten them cheaper from you then I might cry

And don't worry I'll be calling soon enough, I'm starting to run out of places to store all my parts. Have to start actually installing them in my car. Spring can't come soon enough!

on AZ Jason said they will have RS6's coming in the near future...thats where things will get interesting!!

I think they should have skipped the K04's and gone to RS6's and GT reps... those 605 TIALs look awesome. (Based on that they make slightly more then the RS6's and are slightly cheaper)

i think once these are on a car and have alittle more evidence in their favor i will be jumpin on these, odds are they are completely fine, at work all of our cast is done in china, the majority of it is great, other stuff not so much, only time will tell. for 1400$ if they last you a few years its worth it.

Re: JHM copy k04 turbos 1400 bucks!

The only thing that seems odd is that JHM doesn't really know who's actually making them. In the update they mention that "From what I know RP Turbo is a new subsidiary of a large distributor and part manufacturer for aftermarket diesel truck and VW/Audis that I have been buying my Borg Warner K04s from for years."

How can you not know who's making your stuff? I checked RP turbo's site to see where they're located and all I could find was some e-mail contacts. No phone number, no address, that seems a little sketchy to me.

Don't get me wrong, It sounds like JHM is on the level and they'd probably go to bat for you if there was a failure. However, having an awful experience with a Canadian vendor (who shall remain nameless) that only dealt through e-mail, I'll never buy from someone unless I can talk to them and know where they are located. Waaay to easy for them to dick you around and then put you on their spam list. Just my $.02
