for the headlight haters.. i think this looks pretty damn mean.. especially for a big old man car

also go look at the new updated lights on A3s, q7s and q5s.. very similiar design

Yes, they are similar. But they aren't the same. That is the key. It doesn't look angry, is just looks like it is taking a big ****.

I like the interior but I think the exterior is a bit too subtle and even a bit dated as with the previous gen. They went a bit too crazy with the LED design in the headlights, looks awkward and tacky to me.
I can't see anyone picking one of these over an Sclass or 7series unless they are a die hard audi fan.

Audi has announced the 2011 A8 will become the first vehicle to feature a Google Earth-based navigation system.

Dubbed multimedia interface (MMI) navigation plus, the system has "an integrated hard disk for navigation, phone and audio data and a graphics processor capable of generating high-quality, three dimensional images."

If a customer orders the optional GPRS/EDGE modem, they can conduct a Google search for points-of-interest via the internet. The system also allows customers to program destinations into Google Maps and then retrieve them in the car.

In mid-2010, Audi will offer a UMTS modem which features faster data transfer speeds and the ability to stream voice and data connections simultaneously. This allows the navigation system to run Google Earth, which provides three-dimensional satellite and aerial imagery for the entire globe. On top of this, Google Earth offers a worldwide database of destination photographs, information, and 3D topography.

Best of all, owners only need to insert their SIM card in the MMI Navigation plus system (or pair their mobile phone with the MMI via Bluetooth) to access the internet. This means that "aside from the customer's existing mobile phone data plan, no additional contracts are required."
