Sorry to hear about it and hope you can get a new ignition and locking mechanism set up from insurance. Now is the time to point the finger at the interior blemishes your car has (scuffed interior panels and 'broken' cupholder/card-tray/glovebox...etc/whatever) blaming them on the culprits. Remember... the key phrase with your adjuster will be 'no-fault.' File your police report online ASAP if you haven't done so already.

Hey there i have a question.
Between the drivers door and the seat right behind the driver there is that piece that the door closes agianst. there is a button there.
sorry thats a bad description but i don't know how else to describe it.
so i thought that button turns off so that a person can not open there car with the key fob. but i just tried it and it works regardless.. anyone know what that button is for.

its for the motion sensor inside the car

its on by default i beleive.. my dogs always set it off lol
