            Re: New winter boots!!

They are replica's... or should I say forgeries, because they from what I have seen are identical (including the BBS stamp in the first picture, made in Germany on the inside, JIL stamps stc) to the real ones. The only thing I have picked out so far is that they are 8" wide instead of 8.5". The big thing is the fitment.. I'm 'supposed' to have my car back today... so thats the final test.

From what I understand BBS sued the manufacturers... and is going after any BBS replica wheel. You wont find any on eBay anymore, however there are a few retailers out there with stock. I will say though, not a bad way to spend $650cdn!! (Plus tax and shipping, which isnt that bad coming from Vancouver!)

                  Nice wheels --

Tirerack has Blizzak LM-25's as close-outs for pretty good price - I just bought some for winter myself.

Haha... Noice! I have a set of RCs myself for winter. The BBS or faux-BBS look for winter is sooo IN right now!

P.S. I have a set of these in 225-40R18 and absolutely love them!

                        Re: New winter boots!!

Offset is 35, but they also had 38 available. I figured since the OEM are 35, and they fit over stoptechs, I was best to keep it as close as possible. I've been told I get my car back today, so hopefully I have time for a test fit.

You have the 335 Stoptech's I take it if they fit behind OEM wheels? You should be fine for fitment with that offset/spoke design, and I'm sure being 18's as well the barrel dimensions should be sufficient for your brakes. Did you get them new they look mint.

                            Re: New winter boots!!

I am lead to beleive they are the 332's..... the previous owner couldnt remember if he had 332's or 355's as he had ST's on his last two cars.. and one set of each. I think I will be fine though, but the shop made sure to point out that they woudlnt guarantee fitment.
Got them brand spanking new... which for $800, Im thrilled with. Just gotta figure out something for centre caps now.. they came with blank silver ones. Might be a little too poseur-ish to get BBS ones... maybe if I can find some BB5 or Audi caps...
