  • Looking at a few B6 S4...

Alright, been looking at a few 2004 S4's. Might make a move sometime this week. Looking for opinions and advice. Yup I know B5 S4 is faster but I am ok with getting beat :-)

    - Car one is posted on here. Black, 47k, tiptronic for $32,500. Have
talked to owner but have not seen the car.

    - Car two is at Lonestar Mercedes. Grey, 61k, US car, tiptronic. $32,900.
The said they wouldn't give me much for my 04 CTS-V, probably $7g less
than my asking price. Darn domestic!
Drives well, the peddles are fun but with delay.

    - Car three has 103km, listed for $23,999. I did a carproof and it showed
$27k damage. Owner said he has all the paper work and he bought
the car from a friend and fixed everything himself with OEM parts. Mainly
front end components, excluding engine. Parts, paints etc cost $8600.
Has K-Sport coilovers, 19" EXE rims.

All three have two set of wheels.
Car 1 seems to be better deal than 2 as it has lower km, non-US, and has
Nav. Is car three worthwhile? It looks good, owner does all the work. He said he also owns a 04 M3, an Integra Type R and an STI and dont need so many cars.
Price difference between 1 and 3 is about $9,000. 53k difference, tip vs 6 speed.

Welcome any opinions. If I didn't have my CTS-V I would probably go with the one on here with 47k. Don't love holding multiple cars as I am single and not a baller

    if you want the TIP

i would say the one posted on here looks to be mint

shop around and wait for what you want.. especially when it comes to color/interior color/seating choices

plus over 100k is high IMO.. my b5 is just over 100k and lots on here are too..

Car three was an insurance right off (from what I understand) ... I wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole. Its cheaper, but you will always have a hard time selling it, and it will never get fair market value.

Yup, I am gonna stay away from the rebuilt car.

The one with 47k is at a decent price, except that would leave me with two cars and I work up in Fort Mac during the week so that's not the most feasible.

Some guy is interested in trading me his 09 WRX for my Caddy and cash. It has 7,000km on it. I know I know the interior is economical and it's pretty common. If I didn't have my car I would go for the 04 S4 over the 09 WRX. Interestingly the guy had a 04 S4 before getting the Subaru.

i would have to agree with these guys, its hard enough getting money back on a damaged car even if audi certfied mechanics replaced it, little own a guy who did it on his own, stay away from a car with that my damage for sure, a couple grand damage i would say go for it, but with 27k thats redicilous!
