Re: 45 gallons of 113
Anybody can run it, but unless you've got the hardware and/or software to take advantage of the performance potential, you're just wasting your money. If you have what it takes to really take advantage of it, higher is always better. C16 is great if you tune the car to utilize it properly (regardless of what car you drive, you can add a WHOLE lot of timing advance with that stuff).Jordan

i'm in ontario for the summer so i got it here. one of my friends arranged a deal for me at a fuel supply shop.
this drag wars thing is a real big deal here. so all grades of high octane fuel is flowing through the city and being scooped up quickly for the event.

Re: 45 gallons of 113
Im pretty sure the APR program is 104.... but you'd have to check on their site. I had run 109 before.. maybe thats the confusion?
Either way... you'll love it. make sure to drive for at least 30-45 mins for the ECU to fully calibrate.. and you should be fine!!
The only thing about C16 is the lead.... theres the thing about it being bad for the environment, but also not being great for your cars' O2 sensors.. and if you have cats thats a whole different ball of wax.

Re: 45 gallons of 113
113 is a leaded fuel tho, a few runs with that and say goodbye. Stick to the none leaded fuels like Profuels, they make some nice stuff, the mark 4 fuel is better then Q16 and C16 and its none leaded.EURODYNE

Re: 45 gallons of 113
If you run C16 a lot you'll ruin your sensors and damage your CAT's, but one tank won't kill ya.Jordan

Re: 45 gallons of 113
i don't know if 113 octane is going to give me any additional super powers on the 104 tune then. if it uses the knock sensor to advance timing more and more then it will, but i don't know if it does.
so i might just mix the two to 105 octane. i found this very nice calculator fyi: http://www.bazellracefuels.com/Calcs/OC1.htm

Re: 45 gallons of 113
It won't give you any additional benefit. The ECU doesn't advance your timing for you, but it certainly does retard the timing if you're getting knock. Basically, it doesn't really pay to use higher octane fuel than your software is programmed for, but it definitely harms performance to use lower octane fuel than what the software calls for.Jordan
