Tough part now is that the hood wont stay down... so I have to tie it down to drive to Cosmos. At least Im only 3 blocks away!
Loc will make it right. At least your back-up smack-up was better than mine a long time ago. Same idea... idiot in truck... decides he needs to back up... doesn't look... puts her in reverse quickly... and crunch. Location... Tim Horton's Drive-Thru.

F*ck... err, I mean... Frick is right!

Yep, he backed into me, so its entirely his fault... and he confirmed that with police fortunately.

That sucks man, hope everything works out for you. Good point about all the rock chips being fixed, it's a great time to 3M your entire front end too.

Well my estimate from Cosmos came in... $6k!!!
Not sure if AllState will pay Cosmos rate.. plus they are booking for mid August. *gasp!*

I am also going to try Contemporary Coachworks.. they are booking for next week, and willing to work at the $68/hr rate.

Hood, grill, both headlights, Rad Support, Rad, AC Condenser... plus blend fenders and respray bumper. Oh plus labor. It was about 3k in parts, 3k in labor.

well the headlights in theory are 800? if you get euro valeos..

you should install a carbon hood and paint it maybe?

Re: Oh frick. (Not actual words used)

real hood is only $600... and I really dont want to worry about the summer/winter with one.
I told them about the E-Codes.. so I have to just get them online from someone else and they pay.

Most likely go with Avalon.. they have been good to me in the past.
I dont think I have any other parts that I need..... well or can afford with my wedding in October! I'm sure there is some way I could sneak those past the future wifey!

That sucks Mark, but I'd let Cosmos do it if you can wait. When the wifey got rear ended the insurance company had no issues paying Cosmos (and their quote was almost double that of their 'preferred' shop). The lady that runs the front office (forget her name) was very helpful in dealing with the insurance adjuster and fought alot of battles for me...they definately go the extra mile there

Im not too worried about the rate thing, I just dont want to be without my car for over a month. I dont want to be stuck with a rental Neon (or similiar) for a month.

Well I got another estimate back from RML Automotive appraisers.. (Insurance company sent them out) and I am a little worried. Their estimate came to $4598.... so basically $1400 cheaper. Im waiting to get the appraisal emailed to me..

I guess we will see what Contemporary says... I have my appointment booked for July 28th for the repairs.. I would have preffered Cosmos.. but that would be another 2 weeks with a busted car parked in the garage.
