    I had already taken some logs and knew what the car was doing before I ran it against the A6. I also knew that the ECU still had the same tune that the car was running before the motor popped, which was a very safe tune.

      If this car feels that much stronger are you going to turn up the boost from 25 psi? I bet you the owner is happy to see that there car is coming along good. When I get back to canada I am starting the 605 build with my bro I would like to run these 2 cars together to see what the difference is like.

        At the altitude we're running these cars at, you're approaching a compression ratio of 2:1 when you get into boost pressures higher than 25psi, which just generates way too much heat. The pistons in these motors are Mahle forged pistons, yet they still melt when cylinder temp and pressure is too high for too long.

        This car will be tuned for a nice, safe 23-24psi hold to redline.

        The motor break-in tune that I was running ramped boost up immediately to 17psi, and then ran off of the WG pressure, which was 14-15psi.

          you will have to come down to castrol if mark runs it this year, which he better! would love to get some vids of this thing in action!!!

          hey jordan quick question for ya. when will you be increasing the boost for the more agressive tune? as well as some logs and fats?

              Well we just got finished pulling the motor out nof my brother's car and I am hoping that the 605 are in by the end of the weekend

              How is the 650 car coming along is it going to be ready soon???

                Soon. We're installing a catch can this morning, since the spike in crank case pressure popped the PCV valve when the motor seized. We'll do one or two final touch-ups, and then we're just waiting on VAST to get us a few more revisions of the tune, and she'll be finished.

                  We just got a base file for the 605 and the car is running pretty strong!! How goes the battle with the 650 car??

                    Catch can is installed, tweaks are finished, just waiting on VAST to send more revisions of the tune. We need to be writing our own tunes. This would have been done a week or two ago, but VAST is super busy these days.

                          Well, we still have a LOT of work to do with this tune, but here is where we sit right now, after moving from the break-in tune to the base tune +1. Running 20 psi to redline, and very conservative timing.

                              What other supporting mods do you have on the 605?

                              I dont imagine the comparison being all that close...you should be looking for a well running K04 car... or K04 on race or meth
