I was just woundering what all you have to do once the motor show's up? Is it just the matter of dropin the motor in and a way you go or is there other things involed, Since the owner is sticking with the Tial set up are you going to be using the same tune,Since this time he has stepped up to the 2.8 should he not beable to run the 27psi of boost safely?

i dont think running 27psi was the issue, its the way the wastegates were setup that caused the issue.

It cost me a little over a $1000 plus brokerage fee's. I found that UPS is the best to deal with since I have tryed them all as of now.

They're were a little bite more then just the wastegate being the problem but that was one of the big thing's. I think the plan now is to run between 22 to 24psi but don't quote me on that. As far as I know the motor is still waiting to clear customs but that might have changed as well.

Gotta drop the motor back in and button everything up, re-install the CB exhaust, fabricate the dp to CB adapter, re-align the shifter, etc. The car will have to be re-tuned for ~22-24psi of boost rather than 27psi. The boost level that the car can run doesn't have anything to do with the displacement of the motor, but rather the build quality and components.

Even with a fully-built bottom end we're only going to run 24psi, in the name of longevity. The car will make gobs of power when tuned for 24psi.

There were a few problems with those turbos (the turbos were replaced), with the WG's being one of the problems. The WG's were so stiff that the turbos were running wide open, and couldn't be lowered any more than 27psi.

                    The motor arrived on Friday.

Now I just need to find some time to get the car put back together! I have reading week in about 10 days, so hopefully I can get this build finished at that time.
