also, i spoke to ken at concept1 and he is going to mass order the nkg bkr7e's for us . because they are pretty hard to source when you need them .

Dealers sell CP for about that price.

$40-42 is the cheapest online price

bkr6 are the plugs on my Subaru - AutoValue- 2,50 a piece

            Re: Spark Plug Gaps

I see something valuable. You asked if $52 sounded like a good price, and he told you that the dealer sells CP's for that. You can get them for $10 cheaper online (shipping and brokerage may negate the savings though).

He also said that if you are stage 3 and want to run 1 heat range cooler (a good idea if you're running 25lbs of boost at this elevation), you can get them cheap at Autovalue.

Seems like good advice to me...

no he said bkr6e is what he runs in his subbie and they are at autovalue. but no one should be running 6's .. this is about 7's.

just didn't know what the reply is getting at . I reread it a few times but didn't know what to get from it lol

You would probably have fewer misfire problems with 6's.

6's are hotter then 7's . why would you say i'd have fewer misfires?

(misfires completely gone now that i changed almost all the cp's lol. just hard to diagnose when 4 are bad)

My mistake, man, you're right. I never use NGK's anymore, I pretty much exclusively use Bosch plugs these days, and I forgot that NGK's scale is the opposite of Bosch's. With Bosch a lower number means a cooler plug, with NGK it's the reverse. Nevermind, 7 is what you want

Either way, I'm glad the misfires are completely gone.

thanx dude . if it wasn't for mark and roger i would never have figured it out . i borrowed my friends vag-com cable but it was micro-can and that doesn't work with our cars. so then i bought a cable from a guy and it didn't work either...

then i borrowed mark's serial cable but my usb<->serial adapter didn't work . needless to say i was stumped until i remembered i had a 486 50mhz laptop from highschool in my basement. I pulled that sucker out, it booted up into windows 95.. I slid in the pcmcia network adapter and plugged it into my switch. copied the vag-com files over. plugged it into my car and VOILA! now i've been able to vag-com with a 486 laptop from 1994 lol. 80 meg hard drive and 12 megs of ram. high rollah!

That reminds me.. I need to grab that VAG cable back.. I think its my turn for missfires!!

I guess I should get on finding someone to fix my laptop... Im borderline computer illiterate with anything past Office and the internet! ha ha

If you have trouble finding 7's Auto Value carries those also. That's where I get mine from.
