  • Bodykit?

    Hey guys

Any of you drive your car in the winter with bodykit on? I am considering Oettinger kit for my S4 but I am not sure if it is practical since we have pretty shitty roads here in Edmonton. And in the winter, I know if I have that kit I will scrape it like there is no tomorrow. So I just want to know how many people run their cars with bodykit in the winter here, also feedback/suggestions?

    Thanks

        Re: Bodykit?

        dont' you have a b7 s4?? don't need a kit IMO

well really most audis dont'.. maybe the older b5/b6 a4s with non painted lowers but the new ones you don't need to add anything other than different wheels and a drop for it to look awesome

          Re: Bodykit?

Thanks for the feed back guys. I just think with the S4, the look is not that unique since there is a S-Line A4 as well. Here are some pictures for that Oettinger kit I was considering, it looks like the ground clearance will be lower than stock. I know I will somehow scrape it if I drive it in the winter but as long as there is not crack or visible damage I will be fine with it. Anyways, here are the pictures (less the S6 LEDs, that's too much for my taste) Enjoy the pictures.

            Re: Bodykit?

            not too shabby..

yea thats one gripe with audi now is the S-line models.. you get the same as the S4 less motor really

hell the new b8 a4 s-lines in the US get alcantara seats!! we don't get the s-line in canada (yet?)

            sad times

              Re: Bodykit?

It just looks more unique and it is a well known brand for Audis/VWs. I know with the S-line model that just kills the unique factor of the S4 owners. The RS4 looks fantastic and yes there are conversions available but I just dont want to be one of those RS4 wanna be car.

Are you serious the B8 A4 S-Liine gets alcantara seats? OMG I think one day they will have Recaro on the A4 seats too! That's sad for the S4 owners who paid extra and does not get anything exclusive!

So what do you guys think of that kit?

                Re: Bodykit?

Here is another alternative: Full ABT kit (again, less the LEDs)

I am sure not many people has either Oettinger or ABT kit in Canada with B7 S4s. That will make it a lot more exclusive than other S-Line or S4s. The funny thing is, a lot of body mods available is only for non S-Line only.

                  Re: Bodykit?

its a tough call between the two kits, it depends how aggresive you want to go, i like the bottom kit better IMO, not as aggresive, buts thats all in personal taste, eitherway they both look great.

I am pretty biased.. leave stock...then again i love the 'sleeper' look - i love people thinking nothing of you then just walking all over them when the time comes

Either way a true enthusiast can spot the differences between a4's and s4's a mile away - it's in the details that set them apart.
If i had to choose i prefer the ABT kit - stays the closest to stock lol

Yes I agree with you ABT doesn't look as aggressive, and yes a true enthusiast can tell the differences between A and S. However, it is very easy to make an A4 look like a S4 just with minor mods. Here is a trivia for you... Which one is the A4 and which one is the S4 from both ABT and Oettinger picture? LOL

                          Cheers~

Go with the Oettinger kit Howard! Looks badass!

I will vote ABT is the S4, and Oettinger is A4

                              Same vote as above

but i see your dilema, OET_B7, few mods can make them look the same for sure (a4,s4 - mirrors and some trim pieces) i guess thats where the exlcusivity of the s4 can get lost hence your situation.
All depends what you like... just more reason for me to like the s4 (brace for corny line) imitated never duplicated

On a side note - what are the differences between USP and a s4?
