well I basically want to clarify one thing. I cant speak for aliencurv or anyone else who had a major say in this thread, but the way I interpreted it, it wasnt an attack against all bikers. If you want to have some fun and pull against some nicely done up cars, go for it. Yes its illegal and unsafe, but so are many other things in this world. I think the main point was against those certain bikers that try to act tough and think because their bike is fast they are the greatest. then when they show they are faster than a car, they laugh about it. I dont quite know which word suits them better. Idiots or Douchebags. Like stated earlier, bikes have a much smaller weight to HP ratio so its obvious they will win. Like I said, I have nothing against bikes goin at it with cars if its for fun, but if your on a bike trying to prove something, you're pretty dumb.

As for Satnam, I think your first post was simply misinterpreted and it caused a bit of an entertaining debate.

I heard about the thread from a friend so thought I'd join in and add my $0.02:

I wasn't racing the Subie, we just happened to be driving in the same direction at the same time on the same road. As a general rule, I don't race although I do get challenged frequently because of the visible mods (wheels/bbk/suspension/exhaust) and plate.

Anyone on the forum with a bit of torque will punch it once in a while. Open road at 2am? Sure. Congested street in mid-afternoon? Not a chance. As far as racing bikes is concerned, I really don't see the point. I can't think of too many cars that could take a sport bike based on power to weight and mine's certainly no exception.

IMHO, power and torque have their time and place such as highway passing or when you're running out of merge lane. Racing on city streets is a nono as far as I'm concerned.
