I'm looking at getting into a B7 (2006-2008) Audi A4, 2.0T, quattro, auto, in the near future. Any opinions? They came out mid 2005, so there seems to be a glut of "2006" model year, but the factory warranty will be running out on the early ones.

Re: Considering a B7 A4
The B7 is a nice upgrade.
I drove my dad's, his is also chipped stg. 1 Unitronic. First thing I noticed compared to mine was, "Boy does it pull early and sound nice." Then, "Brakes are better." Extra intercooler (DSMIC) and a tad nicer interior with (finally!) usable cupholders.
Make sure you get bi-xenons and s-line packages, otherwise forget it and wait for a B8 lease-return. I say that because, as nice as the B7 is... it's a transition car between the B6 and the B8, so its kind of lost in the middle. You can get a good deal on a low-mileage USP if you look around and some have options for extended warranty (CPO or otherwise). So that's another reason I'd go for a B8 unless I could grab the perfect spec B7. But it just doesn't have the technology of the newer class, so it'll lose ground a lot faster, IMO.
But either way, it's a great car -- you won't be disappointed! My dad talks about how planted and how fun it is to drive, every time we talk.Find me on Instagram @pry4sno
