Anybody drive an S4 tip or A6 tip? My TCM s#@t the bed last night and I want to try and swap in a working one and see what happens.

Thanks to Jeff for allowing me to try out his "spare" TCM, unfortunately the VAG part #'s dont match and the car recognizes weird gear ratio input. It was worth a try.I may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like youComment

talked to Prince this morning, I am sending him the codes, see if they can diagnose from a distance. For anyone who ever wondered, the S4 module is not interchangeable for the A6 module, due to different gearing ratios, car immediately codes incorrect or implausible gear ratios foundI may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like youComment

What model code is your transmission (and engine code).

My car is in trans safe mode 3rd gear all the time, DTC is p1626 data bus missing comm from TCM, I put in a TC from VAST which was built by level tenI may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like youComment
