  • Cheap(er) parts?

Has anyone ordered anything from Vagparts.com? I need to replace an EGT sensor and they seem to be be much cheaper ($220 CDN, shipped) than everywhere else, even with the shipping from the UK. Or is there some stupid outrageous brokerage fee I would have to pay?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeremy

    Hey Jeremy,
Depending on how they ship the part, you will definitely have to pay GST, and possibly brokerage and duty as well. Let me see what I can get one for from "my guy."

Cool, thanks Jordan. Let me know. Also, we still need to VAG my car to confirm which sensor is shot (crossing fingers for passenger side, not driver's or both).

I started feeling a lot better as of this morning, actually. I have final exams from tomorrow until Tuesday. Anytime after that I'm free as a bird and can VAG your car whenever. Unfortunately, the cheapest I can get the EGT for is $292US plus shipping.
