hey you s4 and a6 guys how dificult is it to change out the egt probe on a 2.7t?

Which side? The right side is cake, the left side takes a little bit of swearing and blood.

^2nd.... Passenger is fairly easy.. driver is effin brutal. Prepare for cut hands!!!

Well he should be back.. the light wont go away, and will eventually cause a performance decline..

I actually had two bad EGT when I bought my car (which is on for sale right now
Honestly, it drove fine. And after I got it replaced, I didn't notice any difference. Maybe a little better gas mileage.

It depends on how fouled the EGT's are and how poorly their reported the actual EGT to the ECU. If they get bad enough, as Mark said, they'll cause HORRIBLE fuel mileage, terrible performance, and the customer is left with no choice.

BTW, If it will help any, I can get you some EGT sensors for a good price.

Before I changed mine a few years ago the car was running teh worst! The car couldn't attain boost at all, get into the pedal at all and she would buck and surge like crazy.

his still runs good i know it could adversly affect how they run but till it does he will tuff it out
