Question about paddle shifters on A4

Hello. Does anyone know when paddle shifters became an option on the A4 and is it the DSG or just a standard tiptronic with fancy controls. I am thinking about swapping my B6 for a B7 and saw an A4 for sale ad with this. I have been looking at U.S. cars. Thank you

Later build date B7's came with paddle shifters on the "sport" steering wheel. It is not DSG though, just nice controls for the TIP. A lot of B7 S4 TIP's came with paddles too
