So driving back from Wasa last night at about 10pm I saw a very nice set of 4 L.E.D tailight circles in the distance.. At first my buddy says "hey look at the vette with aftermarket tails", and then i said "No, those are definately not Vette tails, its a F430"... So we got up closer, cruisin along at about 140 or 150.. and i almost ****... it was not a vette, it was not a rarri.. it was a brand new Gunmetal Nissan GTR.

I did not think those cars were out yet, but holy **** it was gorgeous.

Yeah they are nice. Nissian dealerships in calgary all received a few last week.

Wonderful looking, and seemingly performing cars, its too bad you'll be looking at 85k plus to get one. Although they are said to outperform a 911 Turbo.

85k is cheap considering rs4s were 100k new!

i saw one like a month ago on crowchild unless it was a g35 with a rear end conversion doing 200km/hr lol

not all the dealerships got their GTR's in yet, i work at fish creek and were still waiting for ours, mind you all of which that are coming into calgary already have owners, so no test drives for some time......... most of the dealerships (including mine) are getting very expensive wheel alignment systems ( look alot like lifts ) just so we can service GTR's! when we get ours ill take some pics!

This car is by far my new dream car, and its actually in a decent price range (for what you get for it anyways)

Can they be brought up from the USA? RS4's are quite a bit cheaper there, and I assume same with GTR.

meh . its no Porsche . and lets face it if you can blow 90k on a Nissan . you can blow 180 on a real car that will let you change the wheels . ( 997) GTR wont let you do anything to it at all . and thanks to some freakish big brother action . (gps) they know where you are with the car and what you are doing with it . you need permission to drive on any track and follow it up with a $1000 check over . bite me Nissan. isert body double here

yea the ones in japan the GPS knows when your at the track and turns off the speed limiter!! thats pretty sick but wayyy to big brother for me

i know they want to keep the heritage with them but they shoulda badged it an infiniti



dunno if its like that here.. i doubt it but i bet they are limited to 155mph

4 Gtr's got delivered 2ish weeks ago here. Theres a Silver one thats been spotted a bunch lately cruising around Edmonton with dealer plates. Lucky buggers.

who pays for that? is nissan going to cover a cell connection for the life of your car? sure can't transmit via GPS sat's...

i think the car knows where it is, so ya, speed limiters is lifted in proximity to a race track, but without something like an on-star subscription, I can't imagine they'd have 24hr tracking.
