I just set a new personal record...

Today I set a new personal record for pulling a 2.7T.

Andrew's 2000 A6 2.7T. I started ripping into it at 1:15pm, and had the engine out and was tinkering with the FUBAR'd turbo at 4:15pm. That's a new personal record for a 2.7T engine pull for me.

The turbo is probably going back to Avalon on monday morning. BTW, thanks again for lending me that Seesnake!

whos car this be? i don't think i've met him? does he have k04s and one is pooched?

did you guys see that idiot on AZ who put in k04s and said they blew upon 1startup and left one of the oil feed plugs on the turbo!! hahahahahaha

Andrew blew his K03 about a month ago, and I installed K04's for him. It turns out that oil is leaking out of the turbo housing between the compressor housing and the center cartridge of the turbo, so it needs to be replaced under warranty. And BTW, I pulled the shipping plugs out of the garbage just to confirm that I did, indeed, pull them all out of the turbos.

Yep that's me... been about a month now. The 3hr engine pull, Jordan be careful, you'll have people lined out the door to do their 2.7T motor work!

K04's going back to avalon today... going to be a week until I hear back from them, as they must be sent into a borg warner warranty facility before they will send out replacements.

All I can say about this... "experience" is that Jordan has been absolutely amazing, and his hard work has been incredible so far, as I'm sure will continue to be.

Coles:
K03 boom... got shipped some bad K04's which resulted in having to pull the engine a 2nd time, to have them removed, which is where we stand now (engine out, turbo's in box on the way back to Avalon).
