Re: Hello everybody!
I would say that the coolant temp sensor is probably fine and that the thermostat is probably failing. Yes, the t-stat is included in the TB kit. The coolant temp sensor is not.Jordan

Here's my TB service album: http://picasaweb.google.com/cavlovic/TBService
Worked on it with my uncle, and it was the first big thing I did on my car! Never done any mechanical workIt took us 10 hrs total, 3 days work. I didnt have the tool for TB service, but we marked positions and replaced belt that way. Car runs much smoother now.
Thanks again Jordan!Last edited by cavlovic; 03-11-2010, 04:54 PM.Balsa

Re: Hello everybody!
Also didn't mention that I'm all the way across the ocean, in Europe, and it was international shipment
What could be wrong with my car - fuel consumption is very high now, sometimes up to 12mpg, and I don't drive it hard? O2 sensors? Something else? As far as I can remember, vag-com doesn't give me any errors. Is there something that can be measured with vag-com (some blocks??) that could lead to a faulty part?Last edited by cavlovic; 03-11-2010, 05:00 PM.Balsa
