Re: B5 S4 seafoam
Introducing Seafoam through vacuum line would clean everything down, but injectors.
Unless one floods the engine and leaves for no less than 2 h - carbon cleaning is hardly effective.
The dense white exhaust smog is a sign of effective cleaning.
Oil change is a must.
The pricing of Seafoam(pale oil-linseed oil, naphtha, isopropyl alchohol) is quite boosted here, (half price in the US).
I’d look at
Liqui(lubro) moly site (Germany).
LM2001 - VALVE CLEAN
LM2007 - JECTRON
Used from the tank (3-4l of gas) or with their cleaning device (introducing the mixture into the fuel rail).
If one prefers domestic products:
Try WD-40 (from the tank) - attractive pricing.
Looking at the MSDS of the different products=> everything gets spun around:
-kerosene
-naphtha
-mineral spirits
When I've got mine 4000 Q (years ago), the pressure test showed:
One cylinder dead
One cylinder half (82psi)
15 min Lubro moly => all five cylinders - 174 psi.
Hope this helps,
