  • B5 S4 seafoam

I am planning on putting some Seafoam thru the vacuum line to clean up the intake. Question is where is the tube for the 2.7 TT?

Nobody knows? Or is it not necessary?

just look for the tube off the intake manifold, and make sure that there is suction. if it sucks, its vacuum.

Just pull the vacuum line off of the FPR and stick it in the can of Seafoam.

NO!!! never just stick it into the can of seafoam. you could possibly flood/hydrolock your engine. get a clear dish and poor 1/3 of the can into it. then slowly dip the vaccum tube into the seafoam, do not let your car die, they idle will get really rough so it helps to have someone workin the pedal inside and hold the rpm around 2500.

LOL, now that's funny. I've done it many times. In fact, I've even seen somebody POUR the car of seafoam into a vacuum line and THEN start the car. I wouldn't recommend doing that by any means, but it worked out ok.

AHH thats just scary. you are one of the lucky few then haha. i have read numerous posts about hydrolocking an Audi engine with seafoam. They were all A4 mind you but i thought i would pass on the info anyways. i still recomend doing it the way i suggested for safety sake.. Jordan you allowed to gamble with your S4 working with VAST and all!

It's a very mild form of engine cleaner.

Yeah, you can stick the vacuum line in the can, you just have to make sure you have somebody working the throttle to make sure the car doesn't stall out.

it cleans out carbon build up in the cylinders, as well as MAF, and intake manifold..... supposedly...

my car has pretty high mileage and i barely got the smoke show.

I have a buddy that just did the Diesel treatment.. essentially drained his oil. put the plug back in. fill the block with DIESEL right to the top. leave it sit a day or 2, remove plug to drain. let it drip dry for a day, run through new but cheap oil, then change that oil and run met-rx

BINGO. Over time, because of the combustion process, some carbon will build up on the cylinder walls, the piston face, the valve edges, etc and cause less efficient performance.
