Any S4 owner interested in upgrading their intercoolers?

I have been toying with the idea of trying out hte eBay FMIC... and I already have upgraded SMIC's... so just wanted to gauge interest, as I'd prefer to have a buyer lined up.

Basically they are Custom units to the same specs as AWE's..(Audiworld'r in the US had them made, cores them selves were $700) and would come with RS4 shrouds... I was thinking around $700 and I might even be able to include the 4 Samco's... (*Not sure if they are needed)

I paid $800 for the IC's, $175 for the shrouds, and not sure about the Samco's.. (came as a kit, but the four intercooler pipes are the major ones, but the kit is $400) So I think $700 is a pretty good deal.

You thinking of the CXRacing kit Mark? It looks almost identical to the JHM FMIC kit but is dirt cheap...I've been eyeing it up as well

From what Ive been reading.. it appears they use the exact same pipes.. and as both kits come from China.. my guess is they are the exact same... except the CX racing one is cheaper!
I've been playing with the "Best Offer" on ebay... but they havent excepted my offer of $305 (399 buy now)
Maybe worth a shot if we buy two???

The intercooler on it's own is $89... and the piping kit on it's own is $89, but would likely require cutting and using the (included) silicone couplers. If you wanted to do it on the cheap you definitely could. $180 is a lot less than the $399 they are asking for the same IC and their purpose-built pipes.

I just saw their OEM placement bar/plate IC's with welded end-tanks. for $399. R-Audi, are these the ones you are using right now?
Edit: nvm, just saw your Audiworld'r remark. I wonder how these would perform compared to OEM RS4 or the AWE units.

I dont believe they sell the new 'updated' kit on its own yet.. or at least that i have seen. I think thats the universal piping kit.. where this is a newly designed kit from JHM that CX racing got a hold of thats fits easily under the bumper and grills. Somehow CX sells the piping for 300, while JHM costs 400..

Mine are definitely not the eBay units.. and should perform better then the RS4's and almost identical to the AWE's. I was told the cores alone were $700usd.. then he had a welding hookup to do the end tanks and pipes.

If your SMICs have the RS4 shroud, will it require some trimming to install with a stock bumper?

The RS4 shrouds have already been trimmed.. as they are currently on my car with the stock bumper.
