B5 S4 shouldn't stand higher than a 03 TL-S

As far as I know it has stock suspension, and 18". I have the 2001.5 S4 and 2003 TL-S side by side and the S4 is a tad higher. Definitely would look better with a 1-1.5" drop.

yea the b5s sit wayyyy to high.. its nice they handle great tho.. i have a guy down the street from me with a b6 3.0 a4 and stock 17s and the stock ride height looks perfect.. well pretty much what BMWs sit at is just right for me

i have so much crap to do to mine it makes me want to drive it over a cliff and get a b7 and forget about it all

respray front and rear ends and rear 1/4 panel
install roof spoiler
finish RS4 bumper mod
install RS4 ICs
install testpiped downpipes
do timingbelt jobby
clean car and burn it to death

i hate my car right now

Looks good.

I know I'm going to get flamed, but I actually *like* the stock stance of the B5 S4. I dropped my MK IV Golf and can really appreciate that look, but I am happy to have that bit more clearance with my Quattro for those winter ski days.

Keep up with the pix if you do decide to take it down.

i hate the stock stance although mine has been there for almost 4 years now so i'm used to it but i need coilovers baaad

Do you guys have 18s? If so, did you need spacers? My wheels actually protrude a little.

depending on the wheels you'll need them and depending on the offset.. b5 s4s are absolute POS for trying to find wheels for.. you get either cheapys that fit, OEMs that barely fit, replicas that fit or expensive BBS, more expensive iforged and dpe and more more expensive hres

with any stock suspension and bigger wheels it will sit higher

put some 15 or 16s on a lowered car and it gets LOOWWWW put back on your 18s or 19s and it will look normal again

oh god tell me about it! but i finally got new shoes, and they also stick out more than the stock. looks better IMO

Car looks good man even with the reiger front end, just don't show anyone on AZ or AW or you will be flamed like there is no tomorrow. With a good cleaning she'd look really good, and brilliant black seems to be the new silver these days when it comes to the S4.

Small thread jack here but Lenny what wheels did you end up going with?
