  • Yeah first problem with the S4

Well it was bound to happen and I guess I have driven the car 5 times so I was about due.

Good old overboost maxed out the 25psi Guage then traction control light comes on? 4th gear no need for traction control so a little confused about that car falls flat on its face then comes back to life. I am assuming from my reading N75 valve is most likely any suggestions on what to log first N75 duty cycle? what channel again?

    Thanks

Falls flat like you took your foot off the throttle?

I would guess it is a brake light switch. ABS light on with the traction control light? Car thinks brakes on and drive by wire is killing the throttle in response. It will be an intermitant problem and codes will be hard to chase.

      Good luck!

        No ABS light just TC.

It has only happened when i am on the gas hard not on normal driving for the switch it would be intermitent all the time wouldn't it?

where the hell are the brake light switches, completely annoying problem. the randomness drives me nuts, sometimes when its real hot, sometimes when its real wet, sometimes just cause it feels like it. How do I fix this

Hmmm, if there is no ABS light with the traction control light, maybe it is not the brake light switch. When mine came on, it was both of them, and usually when the car was cold, and under low power.

The switch replacement was the last thing I had done under CPO, so I don't know where it is...

VAG is and talk to Jordan / Mark; my knowledge is finite and we've now exhausted it.

Let us know how it goes.

                    Behind the brake pedal...

RSS: The car falls on its face as in the boost drops? Or the boost stays pinned but the car stops pulling? Have you pulled codes? Have you done a boost leak test? If there are no codes or boost leaks, then log blocks 115, 119, 031, 032, 20, and 003.

brake switch is super easy to replace...I've had to do 3 already in the allroad, I have no idea why they break so easy!

Finally got some time to log so far from the results nothing looks too bad maybe my boost gauge is lying to me?

                        Block 003

Block 020 - No CF's in the double digits but 9 is a little high forgot to do block 20 and 21 and need RPM in there. Will do later.

Block 031 Not sure about the O2 voltages jumping around

                        Block 032 LTFT

Block 115 - 22psi max is better than 25psi that my gauge was showing

                        Block 119 - N75 Duty Cycle

I am going to run a few more logs later forgot on some of the logs to get RPM logged so had to use time all passes where 3rd gear pulls at WOT

Re: Yeah first problem with the S4

Looks like the results of a suspicious N75 valve. I would replace that first, and if that doesn't work, then look into pressure testing the N75 boost lines. You could always throw an MBC in standalone and see how she runs. BTW, your boost gauge is correct. The OEM map sensor is only designed to read up to 22 psi.

You're timing is brutal. What fuel are you running? You need to get your boost figured out before the ECU will start giving you any decent amount of timing...

Running Husky/Mohawk 94 on the APR 93 program

Question: Why is the software requesting that much boost as The actual is not any higher than requested?

Do you find Mohawk 94 to be good? I have read comment from people who thinks 91-92 Shell/Esso/Petro are no worse than 94 Mohawk.
