  • B5 S4 rechipping?

If a car is chipped in a different city one might need to have it reprogrammed? I think the APR chip and programming goes for around $600. Can it be adjusted since car is going from Van to Cal? What kind of $ to do the work you think?

In Calgary I suppose TuneDub, Tunerwork, and Concept 1 can all do?

chip won't really have to be resetup unless its like 100octane only right now

if its a 91/93 program it will readjust once you drive it here on its own.. it should i beleive anyways

    OR

if you have a GIAC and want to go APR or something like that then yes you'll have to be 'rechipped' so to speak

Like Ryan said, a chip is a chip is a chip... no need to get it reflashed unless there is an update on the program....

Good stuff. If ECU will relearn then wonderful. Thanks.

If not just unplug the ECU for 5 mins... then put back in.. then turn key to first click for roughly one min (until under hood buzzing stops) then start the car and let it idle for 5 minutes without touching the gas pedal.....

            (Throttle adaption, then ECU adaption)

The chip will not "adjust" to adapt to ambient conditions at 4000 feet above sea level. It will run ok, but to take full advantage of the cars hardware at this altitude, you'll need a high-altitude tune. Either that or get a WB O2 gauge and lemmitweak your current tune. I can get you a VAST semi-custom tune for the car you end up buying, even though you're not buying my car. haha

BTW, Tunedub, Tunerwerks, nor C1 will custom tune your car for you.

tunerworks will fly jeff moss up here for 5000 bucks LOL or something like that

and C1 will do a reflash to stage 2+ if you run test pipes which i'll be soon enough

but yea no other custom chip chip really

talk to jordan and he'll connect those vast boys up and give you some boosty madness!

Yup, actually the car with the GIAC is sold. Looking at couple others in Van. Will talk to Jordan after about performance stuff.
