Audi Windshield Replacement?

Where is the best/cheapest place to get a windshield replaced on a B5...anyone know? I've called a couple of places already, but the prices seem a little on the rediculous side.

Got mine done in November and it cost me $267 and that was one of the cheaper ones i found in Red Deer.

not sure on price so much, but my first jetta windshild came from Kings, it was cheap, but sucked. It didn't have the tint on top, or the black border thing that the OEM one has, and the mount spot for the mirror was much lower than OEM. My second one came from GlassMasters, and its a much nicer window.

Glassmasters has a coupon in the Entertainment Guide too for 25$ if you have one.

The quote I got was for ~$400 installed...what is the name of the place in Red Deer for $267? I'm up there almost every weekend, so I could definately do it there.

Remember you get what you pay for, so be careful. Those $200.00 Windshields are form china. YOu get one stone chip and CRACK.

Yeah but those German ones from the dealer don't seem to be that much better. It is Calgary tho, I think everyone anticipates a cracked windshield every winter lol

The place was called Central Alberta Glass (403-347-9999) the install wasn't great (Shitty work on the Trim had to go back and get them to fix it) I went with them because they had PPG glass but the glass was also curved a little more than it should have been so it rubs on the inside making a squeeky noise and the lower plastic shroud doesn't fit flush. This was for my 01 A4

All the places i talked to the max quote i think i got was maybe $300

Place by Rudy's......can't remember the name......did good work and had PPG glass.

Wish I could remember the name, sorry but they are quite reasonable, used to give us a discount too, that was a long time ago though.

Wish I could remember the name, sorry but they are quite reasonable, used to give us a discount too, that was a long time ago though.

The place by Rudy's is Pay-Less Glass. They can get the cheaper PPG glass or the Sekurit glass. The cost on my Jetta was $354 for the Sekurit glass a couple of weeks ago.

I would go with the Sekurit glass. My OEM one only had a couple of chips that Freddy repaired after 100K+ Km. If a kid had not put a soccer ball through it at my wifes work I am sure it would have been good for another 50K Km.

Got an appointment at Glassmasters tomorrow...quoted $279.95 installed! Hopefully it doesn't fall off on the highway at that price lol.

IMO, their glass is good. Both my jettas have glass from them now and it has held up so far.
