  • Almost there!

So, after nearly 2 months of downtime the S4 if almost ready to hit the road. I can now see why shops quote ~40 hours to do the job...IT SUCKS! But, I am very glad that I did it myself as I now feel confident that I can tackle anything this car has to throw at me.

She'll be going in to see George next Thursday for a proper tranny flush and service...as I don't really want all the old sludge and metal flakes flowing through the new components . And so long as that goes well, she'll be on the road for Father's Day!

I am still waiting for my ECU however, but that should be here any day.

As she sat a couple nights ago before tucking her away for the night...

This job takes a long time actually did it with my uncle on his s4. the worst part of it all was we ended up dropping a bolt into the turbo through one of the oil feed slots. had to take the darn thing apart to get it out! made for a good laugh though

      Re: Almost there!

I dropped one of the TC bolts into the peep hole behind the starter...that was alot of fun to get out...took me about 30 minutes of swearing and finger distortion to get it out with a magnet.

              Re: Almost there!

That's a different guy. Uber quick is a guy named Cyrille, and he has a nogaro stage 3- car.

Kyle's car is an RS4 conversion minus the body parts.

kyle is the wheel from a TT then too i assume? looks awesome

ps.. you need to buy the black interior door handles that would look much better i hate the white/blue ones myself

hey dumb question where do you stick your jackstands for the front? under the round suspension peice or right by the metal on the side of the car? i used to put mine on that square metal but it bent it LOL

                          Re: Almost there!

yeah, the wheel is from a TT too...I acutally like not having the "S4" logo at the bottom, which I didn't think I would.

Do you mean door cards or handles...white/blue? Door cards are definately staying, but yes, black pulls would look good...but I may brush them to match the trim

I usually just jack at the factory location (metal strip directly under the doors...the subframe locations are too hard to get a with a lowered car.

turbo timer...for some reason it's really noticable in that pic, but you can barely see it most of the time. Must have been the angle of the picture.
