    VAST stage 3 vs. C6 Z06 supercharged on meth injection...

    Here's another one for you guys, but this time, there's a video. Just filmed tonight

    I have yet to dyno my car, but I'm running 94 oct pump gas on a guinea pig high-altitude VAST pump gas rough tune (still working out the bugs). Oh yeah, and full weight BTW. The vette is putting down 550rwhp, not sure of the type of dyno he was using.

    Right around 110 mph the vette started to catch up and inch in front of me and by about 140 mph he had about 3 car lengths on me. I was rather impressed with the PJ K04 setup to say the least!

      jeebs.. from the dig you ate him bad tho.. in a 1/4 mile i'd think you'd of beat him but hard to tell from the vid?

        Yeah I think it would have been close in the 1/4, but he started to edge me out shortly there-after. If he's running meth injection, I guess next time I'll have to throw some 109 oct in the tank and pull some timing to even things up a bit...

          It just looks like you had a better start, so driving skill was the reason you won this one (IMO).

          Your car is fast but the vette just didn't put it down well off the line, so from that run you can't really say who would have pulled if you'd both had good starts.

          Just my opinion though, like Ryan said its hard to tell from the dark vid.

            Apparently the vette said he had a good launch, but let's face it, it's pretty tough to put down ~650-700 hp to the ground on street tires. There's no question in my mind he should have destroyed me. A stock C6 Z06 is good competition for a well tuned stage 3 S4, nevermind one that is supercharged and on meth...

              hmm i wonder how you would do againtst my buddy's cobra... he is pretty confident in his car so it would be nice to give him a bit of competition

                how much different is your new "high altitude" file from your last one?

                I'd love to meet up again and see, maybe a quick ecux log!

                    The new file is quite a bit different than the old one. Last time we met I was running ~4-4.5 second FATS, depending on the run, and now I'm running ~3.5-4 second FATS. There is still so much potential left in the tune, and I should receive my sponsored chip burner from VAST this week, so the fine-tuning process will be sped up considerably! Log car, email logs to VAST, receive new tune in email, burn to chip, re-log. Repeat until I've got it just right.

                    I'd love to meet up any time dude, I would like to get this file dialed in first, though, that way you can get a better idea of what the high-altitude file is all about.

                    You can use ECUx anytime you want. I'm more than happy to let you use my laptop all you want, but for ethical reasons, I just can't hand out copies of ECUx

                        It's a logging and tuning program, much like VAG com, but more oriented towards logging, whereas VAG is more of a diagnostic tool with logging as a secondary capability.

                        The sample rates are much higher on ECUx, and it's much easier to log several blocks at once.

                              Nice run, but a stock Z06 trap mid 120's all day long. I havent yet seen any S4's stage 3's at waterfest run much more then 118 on race fuel. Its hard to say how fast they are here, I know a C6 z06 here trapped 116 in calgary last year. Stock C6 Z06 1/4 mile- 11.22et/127.16mph. ... his fastest time with drag radials is 10.85 at 129.5mph. I just want wait to see how fast your S4 is on the track. I love how an audi walks on these big v8's
