  • S4 factory fog install

I have decided that i want to run factory fogs on my car as my DRLs much like the B6 A4s do. Couple questions first.

Is the wiring harness in the dash already?

Is there a good mechanical reason not to (heard some talk about how the fogs being in front of the intercoolers being bad).

Is it even possible to wire it so fogs act as drls and then fogs when lows are on?

    Thanks!
    Jeff

Actually you should find most of the wiring is already there!
The thing that will get expensive is the actual fogs, US grills (and paint). It does get less flow to the IC's... but not a huge amount.

Any of the wiring is possible... plenty of write ups on AW

I considered doing this as well, but ended up disabling DRL's all together...if you really want the fogs though, like Mark said, you'll need to buy the US grills and the fogs themselves. There might be a little bit of wiring to get them to come on as DRL's, but most everything you will need will already be wired up

I set up the fogs in the lower grills in my Jetta as DRL's and as fog lights.

that's funny, because a lot of S4 owners down in states take their fogs out for better air flow to their IC's
