question about the 2.7 tt engine

i was just thinking, is the 2.7L tt from a b5 s4 or a6 at all similar to the 2.8L vr6 engine? (minus the turbos of course) i am just curious cause they use alot of the same stuff like 1.8ts in audi and vw', but a 2.8 and 2.7 cant be that much different
i will probably get flamed but im just wondering if there are any similarities, thanks

2.7 is a V6, 2.8 is a VR6, they are very different

not to mention not mod friendly, expensive, and a ***** to find parts for.

they have nothing in common with the VR6 engine, nor does the 2.8L V6 that comes in the audi's....they aren't VR6's either. They are 30v

The 2.7TT has plenty on modifications available for it.
The 30v V6s found in Passats and Audis are 2.8Ls

The 30v V6 as well as the 2.7 are 90* V6 engines. The VR6 is a 15* V6.

The 2.8 and the 2.7 V6 engines are quite similar though. The 2.8 has slightly larger intake ports in the cylinder heads, and there are a few other subtle differences.
