Hey Jordan (Jerbal),

You mentioned you had a line on shift knobs through a friend and I love the look and quality of yours. Do you know I'd there are options for the tip shift handle?

I'm not sure Jeff, but I'll talk to him tomorrow and find out for you. I know that he does bird's eye maple, polished and brushed aluminum, and carbon fiber for the stick shift. I'll see what he can do for the tip.

Hey Jeff,

Any shift knob you may want can be adapted to fit the tip...I bought the SPP TIP Mod and used the Momo Air Leather knob on my S4 (the exact same setup as the first picture in the link), and it matches the sport trim perfect. The only difference is that instead of a button to go into gear, you simply pull up on the knob.

There ya go. I haven't talked to him yet today, but I will.

That's at least one solution. If you do this SPP tip mod that Kyle is talking about, then you could use any of the shifters my friend makes. Since he makes each knob by hand, you can fully customize what you want. He does the 6sp pattern, the audi symbol, the S4 symbol, 1.8t symbol, whatever. You can also get whatever color of backlighting you want. I like the red to match stock lighting, personally, but it's up to you.

Those are really nice. How much does your contact usually charge?

Do you think he could make one that's like the rs4 one with air leather with the lighted center?

BTW, AWE used to sell these knobs. Then my friend had a personal issue with AWE and stopped supplying them. Now he just sells them locally.

The pricing for the different shift knobs is as follows:
both the aluminum type knobs: $150
bird's eye maple: $180
carbon fiber: $210
I'm sure he could do a VR6T knob, which color backlighting would you want?
