    jordan, kyle..

i'm curious about a few things

did you guys replace your airboxs, accordian, maf housings, ypipe, intake manifold, bipipe, throttle body, hoses with RS4 or equivalent?

i was reading yesterday my fancy dandy APR bipipe doesn't bolt up to the RS4 goods but the RS4 goods cost 2 arms and 3 legs for all that stuff... just curious if you even need to do it.. since most kits don't have it i'm pretty sure anyways

Ryan the rs4 intake manifold won't hook up to your bi-pipe but it doesn't come with OTS kits anyways and is not nessesary for stage 3 operation. A lot of kits come with rs4 MAF and accordian for the increased size and the ease of using the rs4 factory maf sensor in the factory housing, neither of which will give you any issues with your bipipe anyhow when you upgrade. Is it getting time to stg 3 it now?

What am I.. a pile of dog ****? ha ha.

Some kits come witht he RS4 airbox, or another intake, but you can mod your stock one to accept a larger MAF, it depends on which fueling kit you go with.
-Accordian-RS4 or other (AWE has their own etc)
      -BiPipe-Use stock S4/APR etc
-TB stock..but you can upgrade.. but its a big upgrade as you need intake manifold, fuel rail etc
-Y-pipe-you can use stock... RS4 looks pretty.... while some people show no gains...others show slight MAF gains because of a resonance change.

most people/kits include accordian, MAF, injectors and ECU.... APR/Vast adds some other bits.. but those are basic ones.

Can't say that I know much about the tuning aspect.... but I know my parts!

Im constantly fighting the urges of going with a different fueling kit...when is fast gonna be fast enough?!?!?!
I suppose I could always just learn the ins and outs of tweaking the APR software to settle my urges... I'm just not sure if I wanna mess with my drivability.... APR is great for plug and play... even though its not the most agressive file.

yea i love my APR chip but when stage 3 comes i'm going with vast or asp sauce.. i'm really looking into the new ASP rs6 turbo setup.. a bit more than a normal stage 3 but looks nice..

finally ordered a new axle from raxles today too.. took 1 month for them to get them in.. hit 100k the other day too.. gotta get the timing belt done come spring for sure..

The AWE kit is worth looking at as well.... especially when you can buy Jay's Custom program extra from Tunerworks.....

The ASP codes are looking good.. although I think they are spending more time on the RS6's and GT's then the K04's... and the K04 doesnt seem as agressive. guess it all depends on what you want out of it all.
Fro what I read.. the RS6 kit is having problems with the wastegates... but should be done fairly soon.

Ryan, you only need the MAF, accordion, ECU, and injectors, although the VAST kit I have also comes with the RS4 airbox. I can customize a kit for you from VAST for a wicked deal. I got my new custom VAST software in the mail yesterday. I was playing with the tune today, doing a couple lemmitweaks and I'm now running a AFR of 12.3 as the minimum, and I'm seeing CF's of roughly 11's. The thing HAULS ASS. Way more than back when you guys got a ride.

I would personally stay away from ASP, just heard too many crazy things happening on that code, too much inconsistency. AWE/GIAC is good if you get the Moss stuff. The JHM is also good, but looks better than it really is. He ran an 11.1 at the strip on his race code with race gas, but he also has some serious engine work done (RS4 cams, valves and springs, etc.) My money is still on VAST. Piggie rules.

I also like all of the interest in the single turbo conversion, seems like a few companies will be attempting to do some development so kits could be made. Could def. have some potential if done properly.

Yeah sounds cool, but by the time the kits are finished and proven to work properly, we'll be buying B8's

                            Ryan,
Let me know what components you want, or more importantly, what you want out of your car after going stage 3 (drivability, smooth idle, max performance, 94 oct file or race gas 100 oct file, etc).

The JH is VAST, yet slightly modified with Piggie......
Although Jason now has serious engine work.. he didnt always, and was still faster then most. (now being the fastest full interior S4)
