Santa came early!

Well, after all my noob questions and random ponderings, I am thrilled to say that I have joined the S4 crowd.

As of about 8:00 pm tonight, I took possession of a 2001.5 Silver S4 with just over 84,000 km. Tip, silver alcantera, Sport Package, Luxury Package, Cold Weather package. It's currently "stock", but I have an OC.T ECU and TCU in my garage ready to be put in when the mood strikes.

Forgive me in advance for my upcoming questions, and I'll be posting pictures just as soon as I get a chance.

Yeah, you'll have to teach me some "nuances" in driving the Tip. I'm going to miss the heal/toe downshifts...

Piggies? Dunno what those are.
Gotta get a TBB some time (mine's fine, but sounds like a "responsible" upgrade). Already has 710N's in it.

Will need CV Boots soon (cracking, not cracked yet). Also has a "small" oil leak on the cam tensioner seal that I'll get done under my CPO warranty once I get that transferred.

yea FYI wheel bearings and CVs go in these cars.. fix the CV boot while you can.. i didn't notice mine now i have to buy a new axle.

Not much to teach, but definately recode your TCU to the "old" sport mode when you get a chance...it'll let you hold first gear to readline instead of automatically shifting into second. Oh, and if you spend half as much time as I do stuck in traffic, your entire left leg will thank you for getting a tip...I don't regret not getting a 6-speed for one second with the amount of crappy driving I do.

LOL. Jeff congrats on the S4! You'll love it (especially once it's stage 3 as all S4's invariable end up being)!

When they do the cam tensioner seal under CPO, pay a little extra and get them to do the timing belt, water pump, t-stat, etc while they're in there! They have to rip the timing belt off anyways to do the seal!
