i just bought an Audi A4, 2003 1.8 t.

got it for 9,900 cad, has 107,000 kilometres...
looks good, just wondering what kinda mods you guys did on yours and if you think the price is pretty good. i think it's good but i'm totally new to audis.

let me know i live in calgary alberta, good shops around here that would service for cheap and or get a mod chip from and installed?

1.8t 2003 would have 170HP 190tq same as a passat 1.8t

a chip will give you a really good increase.. exhaust,etc and you'll be sitting pretty

simon at eutuning (boy racer) on the boards here can hook you up with alot of parts

for service the ONLY place to go is tunedub (check the section on the boards here)
george the owner is a certified audi/vw tech and his shop is the best in town for all things volks/audi

yeah i can't wait just gotta go to the states and pick it up, should be a decent drive, check out california.
duty and such should only be around 1000, then there's gas as well but that's not too big of a cost.
i looked at shipping quotes and they're like 1,500 to 2,000.. and that doesn't include customs brokers and their costs. much easier to do it yourself. fly down drive it back.

IMHO driving back is quite expensive:

- 1 way plane ticket
- 3-4 days accommodation
- 3-4 days of food
- time off work
- several tanks of gas
- speeding tickets

Seriously though, I can see it adding up fast. From Cali I am sure you can get shipping for $1500 and keep your vacation days.

oh get this, plane ticket is going to be nothing.. i've got a family member working at air canada, so thicket should be around 40 bucks..
roughly 2903km.. will be rough but two people driving should take about 2-3 days, and hey vacation days... still getting paid. yeah a lot of tanks of gas...
vbut in the end should be worth it.
