i don't really think so the front brakes IMO are monsters already but then again i dunno for sure as i'd have to drive a stage 3 with stock brakes

I've heard all that's needed is a more aggresive pad and better brake fluid, their brakes are great. On the other hand a set of porsche big reds would look pretty sweet.

Yeah I threw in VAST's snub mount and RS4 motor and tranny mounts while I was in there.

I have a very aggressive (and noisy!) pad, upgraded fluid, and painted red rotors (LOL!....you can see them in the first pic of the thread) for brake upgrades. I have found the brakes adequate unless I'm doing auto-x or something like that. But for street driving/drag strip applications, I should be fine but I'll let you know if my opinion changes!

if the tuning is right you gotta get it on the dyno man!

Yeah for sure. That's awesome that we have a 4 wheel dyno here in Calgary now. I'm stoked.
Mike @ VAST wants me to log a couple runs and he is going to write me some custom software tuned to our climatic conditions and my individual car. After that's done and it's fine tuned then I'll hit the dyno.

LOL, when would I use such monsters? I don't auto-x the car and it's a daily driver with an occasional run to the strip.

Ther are guys who still use stock brake components on Stg.3 who auto-x their cars as well with no complaints.

Re: Stage 3 swap in progress!

Stock brakes aren't adequate for Stage 3.... but as long as you arent tracking it shouldnt be bad. Certainly easy to lock them up!

On a strict budget I ended up going with DBA rotors, and Hawk HP pads.. should suffice for now.
Another budget upgrade is the B7 S4 front brakes...supposed ot be a good upgrade.

As for the Cayenne brakes.. they certainly arent close to being the best application.... they are more for looks

I just meant by simply updating the rotors and pads and fliud on the stock caliper setup is all that the car requires, if your budget conscious of course.

I have zimmerman rotors and PBR ceramic pads. Good enough for now unless I start tracking the car.
