  • Stage 3 swap in progress!

Well, I've been working on this sucker for about a week now, off and on almost every day. The engine is JUST about ready to go back in, but I broke a bloody banjo bolt on the small coolant line into one of the turbos and am trying to figure out which local store would carry one. Any ideas? Thanks

Awesome DIY! I saw your post on AW about the swap and thought you were on here too.

As for the banjo bolt, you could try Tunerworks but I doubt they would have it in stock (there one of the few places that you can get stg3 parts...although that's not really a stg3 part haha).

Hey thanks man, what's your screen name on AW?
      Some more pics...

Don't worry, I had the engine covered with a tarp that I pulled off for the pic.

But at least it didn't come before this was done...

Jordan, Did you check the dealer for the Banjo? I assume since its the same as a K03 they would have them...

Re: Stage 3 swap in progress!

I called George @ Tunedub and he just happened to have one laying around! It's my lucky day. Well I got home and put the bolt in, installed the inlet and outlet piping, installed the DP hangers, and am now in the middle of wiring in the innovate wideband. Fun stuff!

Thanks to all for your encouragement! The snow is melting nicely and the coming week is supposed to bring good weather! She should be done in short order! The engine is ready to go back in!

                          Mark,
Thanks again for your help man, much appreciated!

                          Ryan,
Hey man hows the alarm system treating you these days?

                          Mefro,
The VAST setup that's going in is rated at ~550 bhp on 100oct. Roughly 490 bhp on 93.

                          Smarty,
Yeah I'm documenting the whole process meticulously and will be doing a write-up when I'm finished. Feel free to email or call anytime you need to. 690-7135 Jordan
