one of my Ignition Coils failed, need to replace it. I have some options.

Buy one from the stealership---- ~$120
Buy one from the net----------- ~$60+Shipping= $100+/-
Or buy 6 new "performance" ignition coils---- $450+Shipping= $600..

Going into a 323i 99'.... around 126,000km's

what would you do and why??

If its from a reputable shop, I would say buy it from the internet. Take advantage of the dollar.

It does not cost 40 dollars to ship a coil. And "performance" ignition coils sounds like bs.

$60 for the coil...around $15-20 shipping... than I add the brokeragee fee too... so around $100+/-

from my experiance, the brokeragee fee is usually between 15-25% of the cost of the item.

Today I bought some Beru coils from the internet for a E36 325i. They were about $50/ea. The car has been misfiring and hesitating when warmed up, so I'm replacing all 6 of them, esp since they're 16 years old already. Replace the boots as well. Two known coil names are Bremi and Bosch. I've heard they're all similar.

i don't trust performance coils either. how can copper wires boost the performance?
just get it from reputable shop.
