Hoping to save a few bucks on some parts for the Avant that I might have to get from the dealership. Any suggestions on websites I can take a look at that will ship USPS? With the brokerage fees and shipping from ECS or Clairparts to Canada, it works out to within $5 of me just going to the dealership to get the parts. If it's going to be that close in cost, I'll shop local. Any suggestions?

Damn! I was all set to buy you a drink at the meet next week but alas, they have nothing. No parts for A4 of any year. Heh, they didn't even carry any parts for my GTI. Unless their DB is down, they don't seem to have much. I'll double check tomorrow but it looks like I'm heading to the stealership. With brokerage to get the mats from ECS or Clairparts it's only $5 cheaper

Re: online retailer for Audi parts?
I use Audi Parts Super Store (which I think IS Clairparts) and find it hard to believe that the price difference doesn't justify using them. I have never had a part come out to less than 25% cheaper than the same part from the dealership.
For example, I just ordered on O2 sensor, EGT sensor, and fuel level sensor for the S4 from Todd at APSS and the total came to $492 (incl. shipping)...and I expect about $50 at the border. Those same parts from Glenmore Audi came out to...hold on to your pecker...$812!!! If you haven't phoned in and are only looking on the net, I suggest you give Todd Haskell a call. His number is 781-234-2005...he's been very good to me and saved me more than a grand in the last two months alone!
How much were they going to charge you for the winter mats at Glenmore? I just picked up a set for the Allroad from APSS for $104...Last edited by Smarty39; 10-04-2007, 04:46 PM.Kyle

Re: online retailer for Audi parts?
^^^^^^
link doesn't work. As far as the cost difference Smarty, the mats are $160 at the stealership. They are $100 at Clairparts/APSS. Shipping is only done via UPS, so $25 ground, and $20 for brokerage fees according to the UPS website. If ship them air, no brokerage fee, but shipping is $55. So via air, I save $5, via ground I save $15 and wait 2 weeks. If they would only ship via USPS, shipping and brokerage fees would be $22.

The link is actually http://www.purems.com/products/index.php. I've used them before too, but for OEM parts I still say APSS. I guess it makes more sense when you are buying more than one item...and it definately shouldn't take 2 weeks to ship. My last order was put through on Monday, and the tracking info says it has already cleared customs and is on its way from Winnipeg.Kyle
