  • Test Pipe question

Since the chip dealer i am dealing with wont give me the code that turns off the CEL from the secondary O2 sensor i am wanting to go with the Spark Plug Non Fouler set up.

Problem is i cant find any at the local autoparts store anybody running some and can tell me where to pick some up?

    Thanks.

      Re: Test Pipe question

I have one I can just give you at the October meet, I already machined it to fit the sensor.

I also have one unmachined I think.

Not sure where they are would need to look.

And there is a prepaid order at the PartSource in Forrest Lawn for one more, you can tell them you are me and pick it up if they still have it (I have been too lazy to go get it and don't want it)

Thanks a bunch but picked it up at lunch today and already got the machinist's to drill it out at 1/2". I guess we will find out on Saturday if i will throw a code or not.

          Re: Test Pipe question

If you are not super careful with this, if you use a drill bit you will either drill too much away (and end up with it cracking off) or not enough and it will not fit on the sensor properly. Make sure you inspect how it fits on the sensor, the holes in the sensor tip need to be free of obstruction and the sensor should screw completely into the spacer.

I machined mine out with a dremel (painstakingly) because the first one I drilled turned out to be crappy.

I was trying to follow the Vortex tutorial but it was not as simple as they made it out to be, and I had mixed results until I actually looked at how it fit and made sure to machine out the inside of the thing to the proper shape.

Dont worry we have a full machine shop here at work and got one of our machinists to do it on the laythe. It is centered and pretty much as good as its going to get.

Definetly sounds better not too loud which is what i wanted. I was spiking a little higher on the boost (16psi) for the first day but it seems to be back to normal now. Chip is on friday so well have more power then.

I'm running GIAC and 18psi spike with an MBC on my "lil turbos" (k03's) haha
Stage 3 kit is on the way so I'm not too concerned with the longevity of the k03's at this point
