My gas gauge is wack, it works until I hit a half tank and then it'll just sit there, or go all the way down to empty and not come back up.

Anddd this morning I woke up, and my MFA (is that what they call it?) Is blank... The burnt out tail light warning still shows but the section below it is just blank...

    Any ideas?

oh the fuel sending unit is a very common part to fail. mines the same thing. i talked to george, it's around 100 for the part and around 20-50 for labour to get it fixed. for the display, on the right side of the steering column for the wiper control, on the bottom of the largest part of the stick, there is a button there. that's how you turn that screen on and off. so try that first.

    good luck

Just replaced the fuel level sending unit in the S4...$80US part from the states and a 15 minute DIY...very easy.

sometimes the gas is strong enough to eat through the rubber and screw up the unit... next time dilute the fuel by adding a few litres of water every fill, it should help!

I've heard that too, you can replace the part but it will just happen again over time.
