Alberta Audi People

Hello Alberta Audi People!

I decided I'd start a thread here for the Audi people in Alberta to organize opportunities to convene and cavort about our cars. I've also got a thread at Audizine going to the same effect: (http://audizine.com/forum/showthread...1#post1778217).

So should you be in the province, driving an Audi and want to get together with the purpose of driving some nice back-roads, having beers, discussing mods, perhaps loaning VAG-COMs, expertise with mods and such, then be sure to post a hello, and where you're from. I figure through the initial response that a bi-monthly GTG in Calgary then Edmonton is the most well received idea, and if the response takes off maybe we could do GTGs monthly (or more). The idea is to get as many Audi people together in the same place and space together as frequently as possible.

dude we already do that HERE! i bring people here from AW and AZ weekly! trust me we have lots of audi heads on here! south to north alberta!

yeah considering how much effort he is putting into this, it doesn't sound like he's done much research about it. if you just google audi+calgary, you should be able to find us and air riders. but he's never heard of either until one of us mentioned it to him.

This is the place to be if you want to get involved with the euro (VW/audi/bmw/etc) community of Alberta.

Lots of stuff going down regularly in Edmonton, You'll want to meet Richard at Darsh. He's like the Obi wan Kenobi of the group, you goto him if you need guidance in the ways of the VAG. They have regular meets at his shop. oops

edit, i'm seeinig your in Calgary, lots of cool sh!t there too. Good to see another Audi owner with such interest in the community, just understand that there is a community already. This is definitely the biggest Audi/VW group I know of.

We could use another soul for the Waterwagens 2007 convoy, check out the Meets/Cruises section for the thread. Let us know as we're gonna probably share a few hotel rooms'n sh!t

Also... there was a group centered in Audiworld that ahs had a few meetings.. along with ACNA which holds various driving events. I think the email list of owners kinda died.. but some are still around. I'll have to check.

I'd heard about the Calgary group of eurodrivers that meet bi-weekly at a NW BP's, on McKnight or something? Is that right?

Anyways, I wasn't trying to supplant the pre-existing clubs/groups, just organize a meet for this coming Sunday-ish. I'd be nice to drive to Banff in a convoy of 10 or more Audis.

Might have better luck just sticking with All Euro's... in the past Audi only meets it has taken a few weeks to plan.. only to have 10-15 cars out. The last ACNA meet at Wild Rose got about 10 people out.. that wasnt a bad idea.
