the new S4 is going to have a 3.0 fsi biturbo engine

the new rs4 is going to be a 4.2 fsi biturbo

the RS5 will have the same engine

TT-R with a 2.5L 5cyl turbo 350HP

I have read somewhere that there will be an additional TT model but with the 2.0T bumped up a bit from the S3 to 275...

350hp TT seems too good to be true and where are they getting a 2.5L 5c Turbo?

The 5cyl. is supposed to be half of lambo's V-10 I hear, just with a little forced induction added.

Yeah that is a good rumour but, in reality that is basically developing a whole new engine, when they don't really need it... do they?

I guess still might happen but I dunno.

MotorTrend was talking about it a while ago as just a limited sport model but that we might not ever see it on this side of the ocean anyways.

it'll be the VW mk5 5cyl 2.5 rabbit motor with a turbo on it

Supposedly so in just a very detuned state. I guess that will give them more options to be able to keep using this base powerplant for decades to come.

I'll believe it when I see it, turbo OEM engine needs so much re-development, almost all components other than the block.

haha yea thats why there are no superchargers for the 4.2 V8 S4s.. i guess they have a 3.0 bottom end or something so too much power and boom! (well thats what i was reading yesterday anyways lol)

Negatory. The current 2.5L 5cyl in the new mk5's has nothing to do with the Lambo V10, other than possibly the head took some design cues from the Lambo.

Not an Audi rumor but related, there has been talk and sightings of a Lambo Gallardo V8 testing at the 'Ring, so much for the R8 and Gallardo not competing.

I think that they are closer than that, after all even bore and stroke figures are identical between the two engines.

Nope. I've looked into it before. The head is the only thing that is similar/the same. There's all kinds of rumors and quotes about it being a 'derivative' of the gallaro v10, but 95% of the information floating around the internet on the subject is incorrect.
